- In the first-ever match in TMSA Women's Tennis history, Sasha Korjova did not drop a set - winning her #1 singles match in straight sets (6-0, 6-0) and propelling her doubles team to an 8-0 victory!

Week of August 21st - Hayden Morris

- Hayden was a FORCE in between the posts this week for our Men's Soccer Team. His uncanny ability to make saves kept TMSA within striking distance against two very formidable opponents in RTHS and Eno River Academy!

Week of August 28th - Nishant Srinivasa

- At the first CTHC Meet of the season, Nishant became the 1st underclassman to finish 1st in a conference meet! Two days later, at the Northwest XC Invitational in Kernersville, he finished in 6th place, while setting two school records (a TMSA 5K record and an NCHSAA sanctioned course record)!

Week of September 4th - Amor Daino & Shaunya Uppalapati

- On Wednesday, TMSA earned a hard-fought victory over Vance County, giving TMSA Volleyball their first win of the season! Offensively, the Tigers were paced by Shaunya Uppalapati and Amor Daino anchored the defensive effort!

Week of September 11th - Noel Biju

- Noel set two program records this week: Most goals in a game (5) and most points in a week (13)! He scored 5 times vs. SWA, once against River Mill, and capped off the week with an assist against NCSSM.

Week of September 18th - Brianna Viets

- Brianna continued her winning ways on Friday, winning her singles match 8-0 and teaming up with Sena Golbasi to win her doubles match 8-0! Viets remains unbeaten on the season and has helped put TMSA atop the CTHC!

Week of October 2nd - Women's Tennis Team

- After securing the Central Tar Heel Conference Championship by defeating Chatham Charter in the regular season finale, our Women's Tennis Team has been named Student-Athletes of the Week! The Tigers were unbeaten in CTHC play this year (6-0) and are currently ranked #4 in RPI in the 1A East!

Week of October 16th - Men's XC Team

- After earning their 1st-ever conference championship, our Men's Cross Country Team has been named Student-Athletes of the Week! Led by Nishant Srinivasa (CTHC Runner of the Year), the men's team edged out Woods Charter in the CTHC Championship Meet to take home the crown!

Week of October 23rd - Sasha Korjova and Brianna Viets

- Brianna Viets and Sasha Korjova won the 2023 1A Doubles State Championship on Saturday afternoon with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Mount Airy’s Carrie Marion and Ella Brant. The match was played on center court inside of Cary Tennis Park.

Brianna and Sasha dropped just four games during their championship run this weekend, giving TMSA its first women’s individual championship in women's tennis in the process.

Note: Brianna and Sasha are the first individual state champions in any sport at TMSA!

Week of November 6th - Leanna Nohs

- Leanna averaged 23.6 points per game against Falls Lake Academy, Franklin Academy, and Excelsior Academy. She shot 44% from the field over the first 3 games of her senior campaign.

Week of November 13th - Samrita Sriram

- Sam averaged almost 16 points per game against NCSSM and RTHS this week. She shot 44% from the field, and added 9 more steals. She currently leads the team in steals per game (5.8) and field goal % (53%).

Week of Decmember 12th - Megan Eguiarte

- Megan posted two 1st place finishes at Campus HIlls Pool in Durham. She posted a 50-yard Freestyle time of 27.59 and a 2:29.84 in the 200-yard Individual Medley to take home gold in both events!
